Car production looks set to return to Longbridge as Nanjing Automotive the new owner of MG Rover has announced that it plans to sign a deal with a major new parts supplier to the industry. %0D%0A%0D%0AThe Chinese firm which bought the Rover plant last year will pay Stadco to supply it with parts for cars made at Longbridge for both the UK and the Chinese market. %0D%0A%0D%0AStadco which lists is core capabilities as aluminium and steel pressings for car bodies will transfer the production and assembly equipment for the construction of the MG TF sports car body from its facility in Coventry to the Longbridge plant. %0D%0A%0D%0AAndrew Morriss Stadco%27s managing director said%3A %22It is very satisfying to see automotive production returning to Longbridge and for Stadco to be able to participate in the renaissance of the MG brand.%22%0D%0A%0D%0AJohn Sword chief executive of Acertec Stadco%27s parent company said that while the financial benefits for the group as a whole %22will be modest%22 he insisted that %22there is the potential for growth if there is a good enough market reception for the relaunched MG%22.%0D%0A%0D%0AOver 5000 workers lost their jobs when the Longbridge plant closed last year. %0D%0A%0D%0AMotorists are advised to look online for the cheapest car insurance deals. %3Cbr /%3E%3Cbr /%3E%3Ca href%3D%22http%3A//www.adfero.co.uk%22 target%3D%22_blank%22%3E
